Dock Health

Bringing efficiency to healthcare

Following extensive research and immersive experiences across various hospital departments, my team and I uncovered an unaddressed need that was leading to inefficiencies, care gaps, and provider burnout. While not necessarily glamorous, we recognized the significance of addressing the overwhelming number of tasks inundating healthcare clinics. Currently, there exists no solution for the accumulation of minor yet persistent challenges burdening healthcare providers. Our mission became clear: to tackle and solve this problem head-on.

Role

Co-Founder, UX Design, Chief Product Officer

Straightforward Goals

To develop a product aimed at drastically enhancing healthcare efficiency and alleviating healthcare worker burnout

Foundation of a company

Crafting our logo, shaping our brand narrative, and composing our pitch deck that ultimately secured our initial funding—these are the multifaceted responsibilities that define a founder's journey.

Product vision and design

Our product underwent significant evolution as we delved deeper into understanding our adopters and their usage patterns. Initially designed for healthcare clinics, we were pleasantly surprised to find our first customers were mental health providers with distinct needs, prompting us to adapt and refine our offering accordingly.

While it may seem like a straightforward task management table at first glance, there are nuances and complexities involved, especially when it comes to displaying data like multiple subtasks under one parent task.

Determining the ideal amount of information to display was a journey of constant iteration, guided by valuable customer feedback. Through this iterative process, we pinpointed the sweet spot for information to be showcased in the task detail window.

Taking the design of a Jira Kanban board we explored showing tasks not just in a table but in a tile format.

Constantly rolling out new features prompted us to establish a streamlined process for notifying and training our customers upon each release. This involved implementing in-product informational pop-ups as part of our strategy to keep customers informed about the latest features.
